GABE CLARK
CSR Consulting Founder and Director Gabe Clark comes from a farming background, primarily focused on forage production, grazing and economics. He has worked in sustainable environmental and agricultural systems for more than two decades. Gabe studied Agricultural & Environmental Economics at the University of California, Berkeley and received an M.S. in Animal Veterinary Sciences from the University of Maine, Orono. The Clark family continues to operate a beef and pork operation in Maine.

RACHEL GILKER
Associate Director Rachel Gilker has been working in sustainable agriculture in the northeast and around the world, working in the Negev and with farmers in West Africa’s Niger. Rachel received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Agronomy and Soil Science from the University of Maryland. She coordinated the Pasture Program at the University of Vermont’s Center for Sustainable Agriculture. She is the Editor Emeritus and co-founder of On Pasture, an online magazine for sustainable livestock farmers.

DAVID PERSONS
David Persons grew up working on dairy farms in Franklin County, Vermont before going to college for civil engineering. After working in engineering he returned to agriculture and worked as a herdsman on a 1,000 cow dairy for seven years before joining the CSR Consulting team. David has supported the development of carbon accounting software and uses his on-farm experience and civil engineering background to build strong tools for accurate farm data collection and analyses.

MOLLY CLARK
Molly Clark graduated from Colby College with a degree in environmental science and has advanced degrees from the University of Vermont. She has over 20 years of experience working with various organizations around agricultural land conservation, natural resource protection, public policy, clinical care and community health. Through these lenses she has developed an appreciation for the deep and complex connections between food, farming, the environment and health.
